Tour Overview

This 15-day journey combines India's famous heritage sites with three important tiger landscapes in central and northern India.

Start in Delhi with a mix of historic monuments and modern city sights. Continue to Agra for the Agra Fort, Mehtab Bagh and an early morning visit to the Taj Mahal.

Travel onwards to Jaipur to explore Rajasthan's forts, palaces and colourful markets. From Jaipur, continue to Ranthambore for wildlife safaris in a landscape known for Bengal tigers.

The journey then moves towards Khajuraho, known for its historic temple complex and detailed stone carvings. Continue to Panna for riverine landscapes, forests and tiger safaris.

The final wildlife stay is in Bandhavgarh, where several safari drives allow more time to explore the forest. End the journey in Jabalpur before returning to Delhi.

The safari schedule depends on park permits, zone allocation and forest regulations. Safari bookings should be made well in advance, especially during the main October to June season in Ranthambore.

DAY 1

Arrive in Delhi

Arrive in Delhi and meet your representative at the airport.
Transfer to your hotel and complete check-in.
The rest of the day is free to relax after your journey.

DAY 2

Delhi Sightseeing

After breakfast, begin your private sightseeing tour of Delhi.
Visit important landmarks in Old and New Delhi.
Explore areas around Jama Masjid, India Gate and other historic parts of the city, depending on opening days and local conditions.
Return to the hotel after sightseeing.

DAY 3

Delhi to Agra, Agra Fort and Mehtab Bagh

After breakfast, drive from Delhi to Agra.
On arrival, check in to your hotel.
Later, visit Agra Fort, a major Mughal-era monument with courtyards, palaces and views towards the Taj Mahal.
Continue to Mehtab Bagh for views across the Yamuna towards the Taj Mahal.
Return to the hotel and relax.

DAY 4

Sunrise Taj Mahal and Transfer to Jaipur

Start early for your sunrise visit to the Taj Mahal.
Explore the monument and its surrounding gardens during the cooler morning hours.
Return to the hotel for breakfast.
Check out and drive towards Jaipur.
On arrival, check in to your hotel.
Spend the evening at leisure or explore a nearby local market.

DAY 5

Jaipur Sightseeing

After breakfast, begin your full-day Jaipur sightseeing tour.
Visit Amber Fort, followed by the City Palace and Jantar Mantar.
See the Hawa Mahal from the city streets and explore the historic areas of the Pink City.
Later, spend some time in the local markets.

DAY 6

Jaipur to Ranthambore and Evening Safari

After breakfast, check out and drive to Ranthambore.
Arrive and check in to your wildlife lodge.
After lunch and some rest, proceed for your first Ranthambore safari, subject to the allocated safari timing.
Return to the lodge after the safari.

DAY 7

Ranthambore Safari

Begin the day with an early morning safari.
Return to the lodge for breakfast and some rest.
Later, enjoy lunch and spend time at the lodge.
In the afternoon, head out for another safari.
Explore dry forests, lakes, rocky hills and open grasslands while looking for tigers and other wildlife.

DAY 8

Ranthambore to Khajuraho

After breakfast, check out and begin the journey towards Khajuraho.
This is one of the longer travel days of the tour.
On arrival in Khajuraho, check in to your hotel and relax.
Depending on arrival time, spend the evening at leisure.

DAY 9

Khajuraho Temple Sightseeing

After breakfast, visit the famous Khajuraho temple complex.
Explore the beautifully carved temples and their detailed stone sculptures.
Your guide will explain the history, architecture and religious traditions connected with the monuments.
Return to the hotel after sightseeing.
The evening is free for rest or a short walk around the local area.

DAY 10

Khajuraho to Panna and Evening Safari

After breakfast, check out and drive towards Panna.
Arrive at your lodge and complete check-in.
After lunch and some rest, proceed for an afternoon or evening safari, subject to the available permit.
Return to the lodge after the safari.

DAY 11

Panna Wildlife Safaris

Start the day with an early morning safari in Panna.
Explore the forest, grasslands and riverine areas while looking for tigers and other wildlife.
Return to the lodge for breakfast and rest.
Later, enjoy lunch before heading out for another safari, subject to the safari schedule.

DAY 12

Panna to Bandhavgarh and Evening Safari

After breakfast, check out and drive towards Bandhavgarh.
Arrive at your wildlife lodge and complete check-in.
After lunch and a short rest, head out for an evening safari if a permit is available.
Explore the reserve while looking for tigers and other wildlife.
Return to the lodge after the safari.

DAY 13

Bandhavgarh Safari

Start early for a morning safari in Bandhavgarh.
Return to the lodge for breakfast and rest.
Spend the afternoon at leisure.
Later, take another safari through the reserve.
Keep time between drives for rest, photography and enjoying the forest surroundings.

DAY 14

Bandhavgarh to Jabalpur

After breakfast, check out from the lodge.
Drive towards Jabalpur.
Arrive and check in to your hotel.
Spend the rest of the day at leisure after the wildlife and road journey.

DAY 15

Jabalpur to Delhi and Departure

After breakfast, check out from the hotel.
Transfer to Jabalpur Airport for your flight to Delhi.
On arrival in Delhi, continue to the airport for your onward international or domestic flight.

Is the Taj Mahal open every day?
